Medicore Clinic UK offers private video consultations by appointment, expanding accessibility to affordable GP services for all. This service is designed to be a convenient option for individuals who cannot visit the clinic in person or require medical advice that doesn’t necessitate an in-person doctor visit. Video consultations are particularly valuable when seeking health information, potentially diagnosing certain health issues, and sometimes even initiating treatment and investigations. It’s important to note that this service is not intended to replace comprehensive healthcare or serve as an alternative to the NHS or your NHS GP. There may still be instances where advice from a video consultation results in the recommendation to see a doctor in person.
Usage Guidelines:
Please refrain from using Video Consultations in cases of urgent or emergency health problems. Video Consultations should never be utilized in the event of a medical emergency, such as chest pain, breathlessness, stroke, or severe abdominal pains. If you suspect an urgent or emergency health issue, it’s crucial to dial 999 immediately or seek alternative emergency medical services.
These terms and conditions have been established by Medicore Clinic UK, allowing patients to access GPs online on a self-payment basis.

This allows for medical advice and relevant administrative services to be provided when medically appropriate (the “Services”).
All our doctors are experienced general practitioners registered with the UK General Medical Council: www.gmc-uk-org.

SERVICES:
APPOINTMENTS FOR CONSULTATIONS:
Our consultations are scheduled in 15-minute appointment slots. Please be aware that the minimum purchase is a full 15-minute appointment; individual minutes cannot be purchased separately. Therefore, using any portion of a 15-minute appointment incurs the same charge for the entire duration. You acknowledge that no rebates, refunds, or compensation will be provided if you do not use the full duration of the appointment.
IF YOU ARE LATE FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT:
If you begin your appointment late, it is generally not possible to exceed the 15-minute appointment duration, as there may be other patients with pre-booked slots waiting for their turn. We reserve the right, within reason, to conclude the video consultation when the 15-minute time period has elapsed. Alternatively, if time is available and no other patients are waiting, we may charge for another full 15-minute appointment. The possibility of extending your appointment can be discussed with your Doctor, but please understand that this may not always be feasible.
IF YOU REQUIRE A LONGER APPOINTMENT THAN 15 MINUTES:
Each consultation is considered a single appointment. If you require more than 15 minutes, please book a 30-minute appointment when making your reservation. It’s important to note that booking a 30-minute session entails no refund if you do not utilize the full 30 minutes with the Doctor.
BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT:
We offer an online booking system via our website, with appointments available for booking at a minimum of 60 minutes in advance. Video appointments can also be booked by phone, with a minimum booking window of 60 minutes prior to the video appointment.
Upon booking your appointment, you will receive confirmation via email. If you do not receive confirmation within 5 minutes, please contact us at 01218241600 to verify that we have received your booking request.
Medicore Clinic UK will promptly notify you by email if any amendments, changes, or cancellations to your booked appointment are necessary.
PRESCRIPTIONS:
Please be aware that there is no guarantee of receiving a prescription for any medication. The decision to issue a prescription lies solely with your Doctor during the current consultation, subject to the limitations set by the Medicore Clinic UK medical team.
The cost of a private prescription is not included in the consultation fee. ( All prices will be charged according to the prices mentioned on the website).
Private prescriptions from Medicore Clinic UK are not NHS prescriptions. You have the choice to fulfill private prescriptions at a pharmacy, with the cost determined by the fulfilling pharmacy and beyond the control of Medicore Clinic UK or the Doctors. The decision to fulfill a prescription and the associated costs are entirely at your discretion. This also applies to repeat prescriptions.
Any prescription obtained through Medicore Clinic UK is valid only for use at legal UK pharmacies. You understand and agree that these prescriptions are for your personal use, and you commit to carefully reading all provided information and following the Doctor’s instructions regarding prescribed medicines. If you have questions or do not fully understand the reasons for any prescribed medication or related instructions, you agree to contact one of our Doctors, another qualified healthcare professional, or a pharmacist for clarification.
Prescriptions like HRT ( hormone- replacement – therapy) & oral Contraception may need an up to date Blood pressure check , weight and height ( BMI check ) , as this is a REMOTE service we expect you to have these vital measurements available for your consultation, else we may need re-arrange the appointment
Please note that Medicore Clinic UK’s medical team may restrict certain medicines that Doctors can prescribe via the system. Some medicines, such as controlled medications (Annexure 1 – Schedule 1, 2, 3 & 4), medications requiring specialist prescribing and monitoring (e.g., some ADHD treatments), and injectable medications (except for life-saving or life-preserving purposes), will not be prescribed by Doctors under any circumstances.
LABORATORY SERVICES:
In many cases, laboratory investigations are crucial for addressing health concerns raised during video consultations. Medicore Clinic UK aims to facilitate such investigations when medically and ethically appropriate. If your Doctor believes testing is necessary, you will be referred to your GP or any other private health care provider for further action. We do not offer any blood tests from Medicore clinic UK , we can only advise you the best next steps in terms of need for biochemical analysis
REFERRALS FOR DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES:
We can refer you to private local diagnostic service providers for imaging tests (e.g., X-ray, Ultrasound scans, MRI, CT scans) if deemed medically appropriate by you and your Doctor. This referral is typically made in the form of a letter to the provider, outlining the requested diagnostic tests and the medical reasons behind them.
It is your responsibility to present this letter to your chosen private provider and arrange for the investigation. Any costs associated with these tests are entirely your responsibility and are not covered by the video consultation fee at Medicore Clinic UK. While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure our referral requests are acceptable to diagnostic providers, we cannot guarantee their acceptance.
Test results will usually be sent directly to you and to Medicore Clinic UK Doctors. This may mean that you receive results before our Doctors have had the opportunity to review them.
Once Medicore Clinic UK receives the test results, the Doctor who requested the test will review the findings and provide comments in your Portal. You will be notified via email, and both the comments and results can be securely accessed using your date of birth through the provided link.
Please note that our Doctors, who are general practitioners, rely entirely on the diagnostics provider you select and cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy of results or the experience of obtaining these investigations, as they are managed by independent providers unaffiliated with Medicore Clinic UK.
LETTERS (including but not limited to Referral Letters):
A fee, as per the current rates (see Costs), will be charged for a Letter, including but not limited to referral letters. These letters are typically limited to two (2) A4 single-sided pages, subject to Medicore Clinic UK’s spacing and layout requirements at its discretion. If you require a longer letter, you must pay charges for an equivalent number of standard letters, as agreed with your Doctor.
PRIVATE REFERRALS:
Medicore Clinic UK can facilitate referrals to private providers when the medical condition and specialty you wish to be referred for align with medical and ethical appropriateness. It’s crucial to understand that the decision to refer rests entirely with the Doctor you are consulting with, and Medicore Clinic UK does not assume responsibility for any individual Doctor’s determination regarding the appropriateness of the referral or whether it will be granted.
NHS REFERRALS:
As a private GP provider, Medicore Clinic UK does not have the capability to directly refer to NHS specialists or services because the NHS does not commission Medicore Clinic UK’s services, and there are no contractual arrangements with NHS providers. However, our Doctors are more than willing to provide you with a letter for your NHS GP, summarizing the discussion and any recommended referrals from your appointment. Subsequently, it will be your NHS GP’s decision to assess the information and refer to their NHS commissioned services as they deem fit. Medicore Clinic UK cannot be held responsible for whether your NHS GP or their commissioned services accept the recommendations made by Medicore Clinic UK Doctors.
By accepting the charge for referral letters, you acknowledge and accept that we cannot be held financially or medically responsible if your referral is declined. You also confirm that you have provided your Doctor with a complete and accurate medical history, withholding no information that could be relevant to your referral or its likelihood of being accepted.
SICK NOTES:
A fee, as per the current pricing, will be charged for a sick note, which may not exceed one (1) A4 letter single-sided page in length. If you and your Doctor agree that a longer sick note is necessary and your Doctor is willing to provide it, charges will apply for the equivalent number of standard sick notes.
PURCHASE OF PRESCRIPTIONS, LETTERS, AND SICK NOTES:
Prescriptions, letters, and sick notes can only be purchased during a live session with a Doctor. If you verbally agree to the charges during the session, we will consider this as authorization and apply the charges to the credit/debit card you used for booking the appointment. If your card is declined, you will not be able to purchase the service, prescription, letter, or sick note. In this case, if you wish to use an alternative payment method, you must book a new appointment, use a debit/credit card, and request the service from the Doctor during that appointment. Please note that there is no guarantee that the next Doctor will agree to provide the service, letter, or sick note proposed by the previous Doctor.
CONTENTS OF PRESCRIPTIONS, LETTERS, AND SICK NOTES:
You acknowledge that each Doctor creates prescriptions, letters, and sick notes, supporting letter for social circumstances such as housing via the system based on their professional judgment and legal obligations. The content of these items is individual, unique, and dependent on the information you provide to the Doctor. You must not alter the content of these items. Medicore Clinic UK cannot guarantee that these items will contain the specific content you desire or expect.
DELIVERY OF PRESCRIPTIONS, LETTERS, AND SICK NOTES:
If you lose a prescription, letter, or sick note, you can inform us by email, and we will arrange a replacement.
Prescriptions typically need to be printed by you from your secure email and provided to a pharmacist for medication dispensing. While some pharmacists may accept electronic copies (via email) of prescriptions issued by Medicore Clinic UK, we cannot guarantee or assume responsibility for individual pharmacist dispensing procedures and protocols. Medicore Clinic UK will make reasonable efforts to assist pharmacists with any questions they may have regarding the dispensing process.

Your document will be sent on the same day (or the next working day if it’s a weekend or public holiday) if your consultation is before 2pm, and on the next working day if it’s after 2pm. Please note that we cannot guarantee specific delivery times or dates. If you haven’t received your document within three (3) working days of your consultation, please contact us. If you don’t report any delivery issues, we will assume that you received the documents within forty-eight (48) hours of sending.
DELIVERY BY COURIER:
In certain situations, letters, referrals, and laboratory request forms can be delivered by courier. Delivery times and costs will be discussed and agreed upon with your Doctor during your consultation.
COSTS:
Service costs will be collected from the debit/credit card used to book your appointment after discussion and agreement with you. Medicore Clinic UK does not accept insurance payments on your behalf unless your insurer provides written confirmation of responsibility for your consultation and associated services. It is your responsibility to ensure that your credit or banking provider enables Medicore Clinic UK to authorize or clear payments from your card. Failure to do so may result in formal actions to recover fees and charges incurred.
CONSULTATION COSTS:
A consultation with a Doctor lasts fifteen (15) minutes, and the costs are displayed on the website and booking system. These costs will be debited from your card during the booking process. This card will also be used for any additional services requested during your consultation, so it’s essential to have sufficient available funds or credit on the card used for booking.
EXTENDING APPOINTMENTS BEYOND 15 MINUTES:
Extending your consultation beyond 15 minutes is generally not possible, as the Doctor may have another appointment scheduled afterward. If you require more time, you will need to book another appointment, with no guarantee that the same Doctor will be available. The availability of the next appointment will depend on the schedule.
COSTS OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
Charges for services like letters, sick notes, referrals, laboratory investigations, diagnostic referrals, prescriptions, and medications can only be accepted during a live session with a Doctor. You will be asked to accept or decline these charges, including a quote. If you verbally agree to the charges, we will consider this as authorization to apply the charges to the credit/debit card used for booking the appointment, to be settled at the end of the consultation.
DELIVERY COSTS:
Standard delivery involves sending items by Royal Mail first class post (or equivalent) to UK mainland addresses only. Costs for alternative delivery methods can be provided upon request if not available on the website. You are responsible for providing the correct address, whether email or postal, as this is the address Medicore Clinic UK will use.
CHARGES FOR CANCELLED (DISRUPTED) OR MISSED SESSIONS:
If Medicore Clinic UK determines that your consultation was disrupted, we will refund the consultation fee to the credit/debit card used for booking, at our sole discretion.

A disrupted consultation may encompass various scenarios, including but not limited to:

Consultation disruption due to your actions, as determined solely by us.
Missed appointments, as determined solely by us. In such cases, you will be charged the full appointment fee as previously described.
Failure to receive a prescription, referral letter, or sick note following a consultation.

The Doctor will create a record of your consultation. If you wish to obtain a copy of your medical records, please request this from your Doctor, and they will securely share them with you.
